FIVE MINUTES WITH OLGA ADLER

The European-born founder of Olga Adler Interiors brings to Fairfield County a unique blend of classic European taste and Global Chic style. This green eyed, fast walking, fast talking designer is greatly influenced by fashion and travel (which are her two big passions in addition to interiors).  If you meet with her for a design session (or if you interview her) have your notebook or voice recorder handy because you will be bombarded with insightful, actionable ideas that will change the way you look at your home and decorating in general.

FIVE MINUTES WITH OLGA ADLER

How I got started…
designing and producing high-end celebrity events in Europe. After years of watching my creations disappear together with the last guests and reporters, I decided to focus on design that makes a lasting impact.

My motto is…
Style is…how you live. I live for creating unique spaces for interesting people.

I love a home filled with…
a happy family and pets!

My latest obsession…
purple, gray and chartreuse – such a sophisticated scheme.

Favorite piece of furniture…
I have two: an antique mahogany armoire, which was a gift from my grandmother, and a Kartell Ghost Chair, which I use as my desk chair.

In my own home I love…
chunky sisal everywhere.

My go-to-paint color…
Benjamin Moore “nimbus” – beautiful and goes with everything!

Best read…
Bohemian Manifesto and Revolutionary Road.

Favorite movie…
Magnolia.

Tea or coffee?
Tea!

In my closet you will find…
Etro dresses, Pedro Garcia shoes and Joe’s Jeans. And handbags, lots of handbags…

On the walls I prefer…
grass cloth – sophisticated and natural.

I can’t resist…
a good book and a glass of wine with a good friend.
